Welcome to the North Carolina UFO Data Acquisition Project (NC UFODAP)

The NC UFODAP is part of the worldwide UFODAP that can be found here: https://ufodap.com/. UFODAP is described as a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to advancing the scientific study of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP). By providing state-of-the-art data acquisition technology, UFODAP aims to collect high-quality, objective data that can be rigorously analyzed by researchers worldwide.

The NC UFODAP follows the criteria set forth by the worldwide UFODAP:

The Key Components of UFODAP:

The NC UFODAP uses special hardware and software purchased from UFODAP. Video is captured with a Dahua Pro Series 50432XANR 4MP Network PTZ Camera while the Data Acquisition hardware consists of a custom-built Multi-Sensor Data Acquisition Unit (MSDAU) from UFODAP which is a waterproof enclosure containing a Raspberry Pi computer and a collection of sensors on a second board mounted on top of the Pi. Software is composed of the Optical Tracking Data Acquisition Unit (OTDAU) that detects and tracks moving objects in camera video and Mission Control (MC) that collects data from up to six Data Acquisition Units (DAUs) and provides triangulation, display and data storage functions. Detail of the NC UFODAP setup are described on the About webpage.
